Everest Base Camp Trek - Trekking in the Himalayas

“Experience unforgettable moments throughout your trek to the base camp of Mt. Everest.”

Join our meticulously created Everest Base Camp Trek and traverse through vibrant local Sherpa villages while walking amongst the Himalayan scenery, which shall accompany trekkers till the end of our trek. Then, explore the iconic Khumbu valley, made famous for having the highest mountain in the world with an evergreen thriving ecosystem that is bound to captivate you with all its charming appeal. So, if you wish to feel the adrenaline rush of trekking up through one of Nepal’s best classic treks, then my friend, this trek is the one for you.

Our 14 days Everest Base Camp Trek is designed to take trekkers on a classic trek route up to the base camp of Mt. Everest (8,848m). In that sense, we begin our trek with a very eye-catching flight to the lone airstrip of Lukla from Kathmandu, which shall last for about 30 minutes approximately. Upon reaching Lukla, we gather our remaining trekking staff & march on with our trek to the village of Phakding. Being situated at an elevation of 2,610 meters above sea level, Phakding village is one of the first local villages encountered by trekkers during their trek.

Afterward, we leave Phakding village and start trekking to the unofficial Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar, which can take up to 5-6 hours to reach. Located at 3,440m, Namche Bazaar is the best place for acclimatization, so keep in mind that we shall stay in Namche Bazaar for an entire day to help our bodies acclimatize to the high-altitude environment of these Himalayan terrains.

Moving further ahead, you follow trails amidst rhododendron forests festooned by Buddhist prayer flags. Next, we attempt to reach Lobuche after passing by the religious communities of Tengboche & Dingboche. From here onward, we trek towards Gorakshep and hike up to our most awaited/highlighted destination, Everest Base Camp. But that will not be the end of your extraordinary trekking experience as the next day; we climb up to the summit of Kalapathar (5,643m), where trekkers get bewildered by the incredible mountain vistas including Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse (7,861m), Mt. Changtse (7,580m), Mt. Lhotse (8,516m) and the imperial Khumbu Glacier. With captivating Himalayan background, we now move towards Pheriche village & from there onward; we shall retrace our way back to Namche Bazaar & Lukla as per our itinerary. Last of all, after arriving at Lukla, we officially end our 14-day trek with a flight back to Kathmandu on the 13th day.

Convoyed by the history, culture, and bio-diversity of the famous Khumbu region, trekkers cross several lofty suspension bridges with breathtaking sceneries on our Everest Base Camp trek. Requiring a sensible amount of physical capabilities, trekkers need to walk on rough Himalayan terrain for 5-6 hours every day. Just like that, March to May and September to December are considered the best seasons for this trek. Contact Three Diamond Adventure & witness the glorious Mt. Everest on our tour to the vivid base camp of Mt. Everest.
